The bill limits categorical eligibility, restricts income and resource standards to federal maximums, shortens certification periods for unstable households, and mandates citizenship and immigration status verification using SAVE and documents. It also requires public reporting on fraud investigations and improper payments. The measure passed both chambers after Senate amendments and was signed into law.
