HB 758: DAYCARE LICENSING – Amends existing law to provide for supervision requirements while a child is sleeping and to establish an exception regarding children to be counted in attendance at a daycare.
HB 758 amends Idaho daycare licensing law to let in-home providers use live video and audio monitoring for sleeping children and exempts the provider's own school-age children from being counted toward licensing ratios when operating from their home. The measure passed both chambers with strong votes but was vetoed by the Governor on April 28, 2026 and did not become law.
