HB 779: EDUCATION – Amends existing law to revise provisions regarding student enrollment counts.
Amends Section 33-1027, Idaho Code, to revise student enrollment count procedures. Changes 'may' to 'shall' prohibit counting students with 11+ unexcused absences and adds requirement for parental/guardian consent for enrollment. Declares emergency effective July 1, 2026.
