HB 814: VOTERS – Amends existing law to provide for automatic voter registration through the Division of Motor Vehicles.
Amends Idaho Code §34-404 to implement automatic voter registration at DMV driver's licensing offices for eligible electors applying for licenses or ID cards, with opt-out provision. DMV forwards applications weekly to county clerks. Effective July 1, 2026.
