SB 1233: CONSTITUTIONAL COURTS ACT – Adds to existing law to provide that no state court shall enforce, consider, or apply any judgment, decree, ruling, or decision of arbitration based on certain forms of religious or cultural law.
Adds new Idaho Code §1-1626 prohibiting state courts from enforcing, considering, or applying any judgment, decree, ruling, or arbitration decision based on religious or cultural law that does not fully conform to U.S. and Idaho constitutions. Effective July 1, 2026.
