SB 1261: PERSI – Amends existing law to provide for a retired member who is appointed to an elective public office.
Amends Idaho Code § 59-1356 to allow retired PERSI members receiving unreduced benefits, retired over 6 months, who are appointed to elective public office to continue receiving benefits without accruing additional service credit or making contributions, similar to elected officials.
