SB 1263: SHORT-TERM RENTALS – Amends existing law to revise provisions regarding limitations on the regulation of short-term rentals.
Amends Section 67-6539, Idaho Code, to revise limitations on county and city regulation of short-term and vacation rentals. Prohibits outright bans, limits licensing to large operators or high-revenue rentals, specifies safety requirements, ensures equal treatment with other residential uses, effective July 1, 2026.
