SB 1276: PERSI – Amends existing law to revise a date and to remove a sunset provision regarding the reemployment of certain retired members.
Amends Idaho Code §59-1356 to revise a date from January 1, 2022 to 2026 and permanently remove the June 30, 2026 sunset provision for reemployment of certain PERSI retired members age 55+, allowing continued benefits without contributions. Declares emergency effective July 1, 2026.
