SB 1324: JUDGES – Amends existing law to provide that judges and justices appointed to a judicial vacancy shall not be allowed to stand for election for the same judicial seat in the next election and to provide certain residency requirements for district judges.
Amends Idaho Code to prohibit judges and justices appointed to fill judicial vacancies from running for election to the same seat in the next election. Adds one-year district residency requirement for district judge elections and appointments. Sponsored by State Affairs Committee.
