SB 1371: EDUCATION – Adds to existing law to provide for the Idaho Student Safety and Educator Disclosure Act.
Establishes the Idaho Student Safety and Educator Disclosure Act, adding new Section 33-145 to Idaho Code. Requires educational entities to obtain disclosure statements on past misconduct, pending investigations, and resignations from applicants and prior employers. Mandates reporting to law enforcement and the Idaho Professional Standards Commission. Provides immunity for good faith disclosures. Effective July 1, 2026.
